Busted
It’s eleven at night and I’m just getting in
I closed the door and almost jumped out my skin
The lights were on and my mom sitting down
With a look on her face no smile just a frown
Where have you been and don’t you lie
Out with some friends I quickly reply
I’ve called your friends and this they said
They stayed home, going to sleep in their beds
I went to study with a new friend of mine
You have a watch, did you notice the time?
I went to go get something to eat and came late
That’s funny; everything closes at eight
Now where were you, I want the truth, no lie
I went to a party to have a good time
Now, you’re grounded till I say when
I ran to my room as fast as I can
