Ode to Car
No more asking for rides
From one place to another
I appreciate my car
I feel comfortable
Driving is my comfort
Like the blanket you were born with
You are gray as a cloud
On a stormy night
To the gas stations once a week
And the car wash trips every two weeks
The smell of the fresh clean soap
As the bubbles are dripping down
Giving my car a new start for the week
Every day I leave to go somewhere
To work to school to the gym
I rely on my car more than I think
Life without a car would be hard
Like a math test you didnt study for
When the windows are down
I can feel the freedom blowing in my face.
