His Lies
June 28, 2009
He said he loved me,
He said he cared.
He said he'd hold me,
When I got scared.
He said he'd be there, by my side,
through good or bad or any time.
He claimed I was his entire world,
his one and only girl.
His light in all the darkness.
I was more than just his girl,
He claimed I was a part of him.
He said he'd never leave me.
Never leave me sad and broken.
And I really thought he meant those three words spoken.
He said he'd never hurt me,
never make me cry.
As it turns out,
all he ever did was lie.

So, so true. I have experianced this countless times, so heartbreaking. I really like your poem. The rhymes are spectacular.
