Split Personalities
She smiles in the halls,
For everyone to see
At home she sits and bawls,
A place she hates to be
At school she talks and laughs,
All anger she repels
But at the end of class,
Her life turns to hell
The potential that she holds,
Seen by teachers, peers and friends
Overlooked by her parents,
All her dreams put to an end
With many friends at school,
And a boyfriend by her side
Each one mentioned careful,
In the letter that she signed
She apologized for leaving,
And the way she had to go
And for those not grieving,
Her reasons they should know
She doesn’t walk the halls,
She doesn’t laugh with friends
Her tears no longer fall,
For her life came to an end
Put out of her misery,
A price they’ll have to pay
What a shame it is to see,
Her short life end that way.
