crutches are stapled
to my body and mind
take them off!
If You could be so kind
a contraption is placed
under my skin
to help me lie,
to help me grin
"but what's in a smile?"
i ask to All
in the end
You're destined to fall
hah! That's when You'll need them
the crutches, i mean
to provide a support
for a troubled teen
but what's with the metal
scraping my bone?
Is it too much to ask
to be left alone?
