The Wrong Somebody
The cherry lips that stole his purity,
got him lost between his love and his sanity.
Those honey eyes started a fire in his soul,
filling in the dark empty hole.
The loneliness seemed to disappear,
everything became sudden cheer.
The fire spread throughout his body,
he then realized he had the wrong somebody.
That beautiful girl he saw as an angel,
proved to be a complete stranger.
Now she is all gone,
and he is all broken.
There is no love left,
in this world that is unspoken.
This poem begins as a couplet but transitions into free verse as it reaches the end. I wrote this poem to tell the story of a person I once dated trying to give his perspective of the situation.
