One Day
One Day
I want to dance and sing and laugh
And I don’t want the world to stare
I want to cry and smile and imagine
And I don’t want to have to care
I want to be free like splashing raindrops
Not invisible, cautious, meek
bold like shimmering stars
Outspoken, creative, unique
And perhaps one day
I will find the strength
No matter what the world may think
To reveal more of my shimmering soul
And splash my indelible ink
