My First Time on Stage
I was at home getting this pretty sparkly costume on and my bright red lipstick on , I was ready to go. So my mom drove me to school she said “are you excited to dance on stage”
Then I said “yeah” then she dropped me off in a room so we could watch the other
performances on a TV she went out into the audience well I was watching it a lady said that
“you guys have to go with your teachers so you can practice”.
Then we went out in the hallway and practiced our tap dance a couple of 100 times. Then
she told us to sit in our order so we sat in order to go on stage and waited till it was our turn!
Then we went backstage and as soon as we got back there I thought why did I agree
to do this! My stomach had butterflies in it I was so nervous. I said “ I am nervous” she said that
“ You will be fine act like you are in the classroom”.
It was my turn… I was about to go on stage to PERFORM! When you are about to go
on stage and perform that is when you are the most nervous I could have thrown up but I didn’t, I
toughed it up and went on that stage.
Write before I got on stage I was hot with the light rays on my face and I could hear clapping
from the audience. So I got on stage and I was terrified as I was backstage
felt ready as ever and yet a little nervous, not really I was really nervous, I thought I would mess
up but I didn’t and it felt fun to be on stage. With the people clapping and the lights flashing and the loud music playing.
As I got off that stage I knew right then and there I wanted to dance on that stage
for the rest of my life… So as the years went on I danced on stage a million times but I
always get as nervous as I was the first time I ever went on stage.
