Sin City proves to be a stylish adventure that combines together drama, crime and a bold artistic vision to create a tale that is thoroughly entertaining and action-packed. The movie combines together several different noir stories to form a plot that showcases what it's like to live in Sin City. There's a mysterious man that tells the story of what it means to be dependent on someone else and what this means for himself. A powerful and daring vigilante breaks through all barriers to find whoever's responsible for taking away the love of his life, with brutally violent results occurring in the process. Meanwhile, an old cop that is nearly retired must deal with one of his final cases, which involves stopping a cold killer from doing what he does best, and a fierce woman tries to gain revenge on those who have hurt her previously with the help of her new boyfriend, who might be just what she needs. As all of the character begin to interact with their own personal problems, some overlap takes place between their stories in their home of Sin City. It soon becomes abundantly clear that in Sin City, there's enough sin to go around. 
 Sin City is an artistic story that utilizes plenty of stunning visuals to bring Frank Miller's graphic novels of the same name to life. The movie even ensures that the colors and coloring of the movie matches the source material, going as far as to mostly use various shades of black and white to demonstrate just how dark of a location Sin City proves to be. The scenes perfectly match up to the work that Miller initially made, and it feels like the movie truly brings the material to life. The stories are practically identical, and all of the characters are created with ease, becoming realistic, believable and they help to make Sin City a place that viewers can imagine themselves in. 

 Sin City combines together plenty of eccentric concepts and ideas, as well as plenty of unique characters, to form a plot that tries to accomplish as much as possible in a relatively short time frame. It sometimes feels like there are multiple stories going on at the same time, which may not necessarily be an inherent bad thing, but this can occasionally get slightly confusing. Despite that possible outcome, this does in fact allow the movie to have several different layers that elevate the characters and storylines introduced. While it does make things substantially more complicated, it also makes the plot far more compelling and intense. 

 Sin City has the rare ability to be enjoyed by both critics and viewers alike. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a high 77%, which is just as impressive as it seems, and an outstanding 88% of Google users liked the movie, solidifying the concept that the movie is a good fit with a wide variety of audiences. 

 Sin City may have an excruciatingly high amount of violence, but it also doesn't rely on it. Dark and gritty in its entirety, the movie scraps together a surprisingly unique story that has its own distinct tone, style and execution. The movie never strays far from the artsy techniques that served as an inspiration, and this creates a consistent tone that helps to add some cohesion to the story overall. While the movie may be too dark for some, due to how brutal it can be at times, it is also proud of what it is presenting.

 Sin City may not be perfect, but it is a creative venture that absolutely needs to be absorbed. This is definitely worth watching.
