My book is Lemony Snicket “Who could that be at this hour?” by Craig Graziano. I really loved the author of this book because he is really creative and knows how to grab the reader’s attention or at least he got my attention. One of the author’s best attributes was his characterization on Lemony Snicket with her investigative personality being portrayed many times in the book like ”’What’s the S stand for’”(Markson 21) or “‘Where are we going’”(Markson 33). If your interest for books is in mystery than this book will have you thinking a lot about what is going on and it does a wonderful job in creating suspense. In some parts of the book you will get frustrated because Lemony Snicket will build up a lot of suspense, and at the end when he is about to tell you he puts you down and you have to keep reading. In order to understand the structure of the book you have to be patient and read carefully, because there is some details that you have to read closely to understand what the connection is. I would say that patience is the key to comprehending the book, I would say that the two things that would get you the most frustrated in this book would be the quotes spoken by S. Theodora Markson “‘What would I do’”(Markson20), and “‘That’s the wrong question’”(Markson22). If you are not the type of person that is ready to get frustrated with reading these quotes, then I would not recommend this book because the book mainly creates suspense, so you have to keep reading in order to find the meaning of all of that creation of suspense.
