I chose the book Midwinterblood by Marcus Sedgwick for readers review because it's a love, mystery, and horror book which attracted me. The author did not do so well on explaining the events, everything happened so fast and sometimes I have to look back at the beginning to know what exactly is going on. But mostly I like it, the plot is very interesting and entertaining you could imagine what is going on. This story is mostly about how these two guys have a conflict and this girl that the main character loves has something to do with everything. The romance between the two lovers was like Romeo and Juliet they are forbidden to love each other. I would recommend this book to people if you really have a good imagination or horror type of stuff, but the people I wouldn't recommend to read this book is people who don't like things that have to do with romance or doesn't have an imagination. I chose this quote where  Merle and Erik were telling each  other that they will be together forever that nothing was going to pull them apart and Erik ruined the mood and said  ”Our love is forbidden. It might become impossible for us to be together”(Sedgwick 181). Another quote that I chose is when  Erik did not believe in love at first sight but when he saw Merle he fell in love instantly and that makes me want to scream because I love romance stories it makes me happy especially the main characters romance “He did not believe in love at first sight. He thinks he might do so now” (Sedgwick 7). I thought the book would be better especially the action parts in my opinion. If you're good at imagining and understanding long words this is a good book but I liked mostly the romance parts most of all because it is my favorite genre and what attracted me the most.

The author's comments:

This book really caught my attention because of romance, romance is my favorite genre. And knowing that there is mystery and horror with this romance drama is very exciting.
