Away from her family America has to fight for the place that she want in the competition. Down to the last 4 candidate and americas has to decide how much she is willing to risk for the prince and the crown. America is a 17 year old girl with icy blue eyes and red hair. Prince Maxon is king Clarkson and queen Amberly son, and he is in charge of deciding who enterd and leaves the competition. “ Bravery hides in amazing places”(Cass 151). This quote explains how America's character is. She has a strong character unlike that other girls in the competition. When America's gets told to do something in the competition a certain way she always has to end up doing something her way. The king Carlson has a big dislike against her. During this selection Prince maxon get to know America and find the real bravery that she has inside her.Another quote that was real is “The best people all have some kind so scar”(Cass 131). America gets shot and a scar is left on her arm. I can really connect to this part of the story because i have lots of scars in my body. For every scar there is a story behind them. A scar can make up history hidden in your body  that no one else might have. America got this scar because she was trying to save someone's life. I really recommend this book to the people that like to read about how hard it is to go through obstacles in life. This is also a perfect book as well for the people that like romance and sensory language. I won't recommend this book to the people that just absolutely don't like romantic stuff because the book includes lots of good imagery using romantic scene
