The Crossover by Kwame Alexander
Josh Bell his brother Jordan Bell and their dad Chuck Bell.In this creative novel-in-verse Kwame finds multiple ways to manipulate the reader’s feelings. Alexander reveals how jealousy can break bonds and take away from the greater things in life.
Kwame told an uplifting novel about a boy named josh bell and and his family. He tells how sometimes thing won’t always go the way you want them to go be it will all end up being alright. Also how you will have your ups and downs but you will have to get back up. Or how josh faces hard decisions and doesn't really know how to deal with them or what to feel.
The bond between a family will be tested and this story will have you on a roller coaster that will keep your heart racing. The bond in this family keeps being threatened by different things. The bond between the brothers almost just because of a girl. Will this family be put back together before things start getting more serious?
I would recommend this book to teens and people with parents with illnesses. This book it really would help some people going through the same things. It will help teens learn that sometimes thing wont always go your way and that sometimes you will fall but you will have to get up.
