“Because I got you and you got me” The main characters in Of Mice And Men’s friendship makes this story great. This realistic fiction story takes you to the fields California Where you meet the main characters George, a small and smart man, and Lennie, a very strong man who is as smart a child. They work on ranches to earn money so they can but their own piece of land to live off of.Soon Later on Lennie accidentally killed his puppy when petting him. Curley’s wife walks in and tells him he can pet her soft hair. Then Lennie is startled and accidentally kills her. Lennie is then killed by George. I enjoyed reading this book and recommend it for people over the age of 14.

I recommend reading this book because the plot is believable and it helped me understand the stereotypes during  the great depression. The plot of the story is entirely believable in the fact that every thing in the story could have happened and that made the story more interesting to me.I learned that the mentally disabled were sometimes treated very badly by most people and some women like Curley's wife were considered as terrible and called things like jailbait and b****. Another reason why I liked the book is the surprises in the story. Things like George having to kill Lennie and the level of care the other worker went to so George and Lennie could keep their jobs made me want to keep reading.

Overall this is a Of Mice And Men is a great book that I do recommend for high school students.
