Quentin, or Q, is infatuated with the person that he thinks is Margo Roth Spiegelman, however, when she disappears in their senior year of high school, leaving only clues to find her, he is left discovering who Margo really is and re-discovering who he thought he was. The book absorbs the reader’s attention and continually leaves them with a hunger for what’s coming next. As Green approaches the rough topic of self-discovery, he keeps things light and full of jokes to keep the reader laughing while they rediscover what they thought they knew. The mystery of Margo will leave reader’s hoping they will catch a glimpse of the girl behind the mask of legend. However, readers should be aware that Green stays true to the teenage character and uses occasional strong words and topics. This book is highly recommended for teens on the search for self-discovery.
