The book Illuminae: The Illuminae Files-01 by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff  was a pretty good book for me. The plot starts off in the year 2072 and has two  main protagonists, Ezra Mason and Kady Grant. Kady and Ezra were in a relationship but now they must learn how to work together to solve a mystery. While at school a massive attack from BeiTech an evil company attacks their planet once a galactic war breaks out. Once they see what is happening outside their school, they find each other and try to escape and are sent onto rescue ships. However Ezra and Kady are on two different rescue ships. Later on in this book a virus enters the ships and starts making people who are affected crazy and lose their sense of who they once were.  After the virus is well aware of people start to worry and things get really chaotic. The two of them also have friends Byron Zhang and James McNulty. Byron is one of Kady friends and he does all of the techy stuff. While James is Ezra's friend and he is also a soldier like Ezra. Why is all of this happening? Who has released the virus?  Will Kady Grant and Ezra Mason survive all of this together or will they die trying?
The theme of this book is Adventure, Action, Sci-fi. What I have learned from this book is that you should not trust anyone and if you think you do think again. If you are into techy layouts, different layouts, and pictures in your book, I certainly recommend this book for you. The reason why I really enjoyed this book is because of the layout. It honestly looks like you are reading real call logs, real emails. For me even though the plot is set in the future you kinda forget that it is. Even though this book was a whopping 599 pages, it certainly kept you entertained. 599 pages may seem a lot for a book targeted towards young adults but you have different perspectives all of the time from the call logs, posters in the ship, and even dialogue from an angry computer named AIDAN. There are also pictures in the book showing what the ships look like and other artsy details. So if you liked what you read so far in my review I highly suggest you picking up this book!
