Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile is an exhilarating murder mystery. She surprises readers with twists and turns that will keep the readers hooked until the end.  Linnet Doyle is a successful young woman known for her intelligence, beauty, and wealth. She is on a boat headed to Egypt for her honeymoon when she encounters her husband, Simon’s, ex-fiance Jacqueline. Many are envious of her extravagant life; some more jealous than others, but there is only one person on the boat who is cruel and jealous enough to end her life and the lives of others on the ship. A Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot, is asked to manage the investigation. While handling the case he discovers many shocking revelations.
This story would appeal to those who enjoy murder mysteries or other thrillers. Christie keeps the readers wanting more with her vivid use of imagery and staggering plot twists. Personally, I enjoyed the author's descriptive detail and illustrative word choice throughout the story. Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile will keep you wanting more until the very end.
