In the fantasy Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters, the 13 year old Percy Jackson has to save Camp Half-Blood from its doom. This book is written in 1st person view and is full of vivid detail and imagery. I would suggest it to any reader that's a fan of Greek Mythology or just fantasy in general.
The main characters in this movie are Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Grover Underwood, Tyson, and Chiron. To find out how Tyson plays an important role in the novel, read the book to find out. In this book Percy and his friends go through mad chaos to find the golden fleece (cure). To find out read the book.
The author, Rick Riordan, uses symbolism to represent life and protection. The golden fleece and Thalia’s tree represent that. The setting is Camp Half-Blood and the Bermuda Triangle. The point of view is first person (Percy's point of view). The book kept me up at night reading and I almost never wanted to put it down.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book because of the violence in the book. The writing had some very powerful lines, but could've been a bit more moving since there wasn't as much excitement in the book as I expected. I believe the author entertained me quite a bit in this novelle and fulfilled his achievement.
This book made have a better look on Greek Mythology with all the gods and goddesses of the Greek world. I also wanted to let the reader know that this book might be hard to get into to but give it sometime and you will love it.
