I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga
“People matter. People are real. People matter.”
“I Hunt Killers,” by Barry Lyga is an exhilarating mystery novel that follows Jasper “Jazz” Dent, a handsome and intelligent seventeen year old who, despite his pleasant facade, is haunted by his dark and bloody past. Jazz struggles to prove his sanity to both the world and himself as his father, an infamous serial killer worldwide, haunts his every thought and continues to torture his son physiologically despite the miles of between distance them. Hazy memories of knives and the disappearance of his mother compels him to dig deeper into his past as he tries to catch a newborn serial killer, “The Impressionist.” Searching for clues and indications on who “The Impressionist” could be, ignoring warnings to drop the subject from the police, and battling years of psychological pain, Jazz walks the fine line of sanity and madness as he hunts the killer threatening his hometown and the citizens in it.
