The classical books haven't really had any new additions to the list but “Looking for Alaska” should be one of those books. It should be a classic book because for one the book has a famous Author. Secondly, this book has stood the test of time. last but not least this book will never be forgotten because of the fact that it is a timeless peace of literature.

The first reason this book should be a classical is because The book stands out because it has a famous author. the author ( John Green ) is best known for his book “Fault In Our Stars”  which was later made into the 2014 film. He has received the Michael Printz Award of excellence. Green has had many rave reviews on his books. many have affirmed this authors many books saying things like; “This book has won me over.” or “Once I started reading….I couldn't stop….so addictive.”

This book can also be seen as classic because of the fact that it has stood the test of time. the reason that is is because the book was published approximately 11 years ago. In those 11 years it has not gone around unnoticed, on the contrary it has gotten a lot of fame and great number of compliments. Also not to mention that it has managed to become a New York times Bestseller in that time frame.

the final reason “Looking For Alaska” is classical material is because it is a timeless book. “Looking For Alaska” is often reread. This book also has been reintroduced to different generations throughout the years.
