Sudden Impact
Sudden impact is a book by Lesley choyce. When Kurt gets hurt in a soccer game the main character Tina has to try and help him. When she tries to get help no one thinks hes injured and it was just a fall so if it wasn’t for her she would be dead. Tina always tries to sneak into the hospital because his parents don’t like her and think she’s a bad influence. Every One day when Kurt had a party she snuck in and met him, after his parents saw how much he liked her she was allowed in. Tina can now go in the hospital and see him recover so everything is good but Later Kurt finds out that he needs a blood donor and he has a very rare blood type. Kurt soon disappears and the situation becomes a lot more desperate.
This is a good book for kids around 8-12 yrs old. The story isn’t very detailed and that is why it’s about 100 pages. The main problem in this story (in my opinion) is that it is more personal and to really get the most out of it you will have to make a connection with the characters. Even though it’s more of a kids book it goes into detail with his injuries so don’t let a little kid read it. I would recommend this book to other people because it’s an interesting read.
