This story takes place in Swindon, England. The narrator of this this book is a 15 year old boy

his name was Christopher John Francis Boone. His dad is Ed Boone. Christopher was just waking outside until he spotted something in the grass with a pitchfork sticking out of it. When he got closer he discovers it was a dead dog in the grass dead. Is Christopher gonna find out who it is?
      He was on his way outside then after he gets outside and sees something in the neighbors yard. When he gets closer to the object he noticed it was a dead dog. The neighbor (Mrs. Shears) comes out and sees Christopher with the dog and calls 911. He had to go to jail but it was only for a few minutes until his dad came and got him. Christopher wanted to know who killed Mrs.Shears dog so he was going around asking people. Then his dad told him to stop but he kept doing it anyway. The Christopher went into his fathers room.

    He was looking around in his fathers room until he found something very weird. He discovered the cards that she has been sending to him from every 2 weeks he thought she was dead. Then he went to his father and then he apologized for lying about his mom being dead when she wasn't. He confessed about the dog he killed because he had a crush on Mrs.Shears. Then Christopher got terrified of his fathers so he snuck out the house to find his mother. Judy Boone (Christopher's Mother) also ran away from Mr.Shears. He goes to London to see his mother. His mother was so happy to see his son again. After all this happened Christopher goes to school and they live happy together.
