Anne frank by Otto frank
Diary of Anne Frank
This book was a story that was told from the diary of a teenage Jewish girl. Over a two year period ,she tells of all of the struggles and fears that her family faced while in hiding from the Nazi invasion. Anne Frank was a talented writer to be so young. Which makes it easy to feel like a part of her story.
Anne Frank's diary starts out telling the normal things that all girls her age were living through in the early 1940's with the Nazis occupying Holland. Anne's family along with another family went into hiding. This book tells how Anne's and another family had to struggle with food shortages, fear, and sometimes boredom. This was a two year long struggle that showed how brave she and her family were.
I didn't like this book very much. It was hard to read about all of the things that finally happened to these families. Also Anne spent a lot of time writing about boys in her diaries. I felt very bad for her in the end.
Overall, these diaries are considered to be very valuable in helping people to understand what some Jewish people had to deal with from the Nazis. The bravery of one girl helped millions of people to be able to read about the crimes that were committed against the Jewish people.
