An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green was an excellent book! Before I had begun reading it, I didn't really know what to expect, but I knew it was going to be great because it was written by John Green. There's something different about John's writing that makes it so unique. I had already read two other books by John and I had been impressed. Let's just say John didn't disappoint me this time either.
It's so crazy to think that Colin Singleton had been dumped by nineteen Katherines, NINETEEN! All were spelled the same way too! Now that's what I call bad luck. His friend, Hassan, decided to go on a road trip with Colin. Along the way, Colin wants to prove his theory. He wants to be able to predict the future of any relationship. At this point, nothing means more to Colin than this. He will do what ever it takes and doesn't care what it takes.
I enjoyed every part of this book. My favorite thing about this book is how it helps you understand the story better because it defines words on the bottom of most of the pages. They do use some words that are difficult to understand so that does help a lot! The ending especially blew me away! John Green never runs out of new things that will leave you in complete shock.
This book is really great for someone that just feels left out or confused. Colin's story and all he had to do to prove his theory is truly amazing. I already recommended it to many of my friends and they loved it too. If you ever see this book or get a chance to read it, don't let that opportunity go. Trust me, it'll be an abundance of joy!
