An Bundance of Katherines by John Green
Like any other John Green story, love was involved in An Abundance of Katherines. Love stories, yet cheesy, have always, have always intrigued me due to the fact there is usually a good ending. The reason it wouldn't have a good ending would be one of the lovers die leaving the other alone for an awful ending. Anyways this book had a great ending and I definitely recommend it.
An Abundance of Katherines is about Colin, a child prodigy, who has recently graduated high school. Since 3rd grade, Colin has dated 19 Katherines, who have, all but one, dumped him. He sets out on a road trip still in search of why every Katherine would dump him. He searched for his answer by trying to creating a theorem that would predict a relationship with any Katherine, the beginning and the ending. This is how the story starts, but after running across "The Eternal Resting Place of Archduke Franz Ferdinand," the story begins to change. Here, he meets Lindsey, and its not the way you'd really expect. From this point to the end in Gutshot, Tennessee, he and his best friend Hassan stay at Lindsey's house, and that where everything begins to change.
When it comes to my view on the book, I really thought it was a great book. Others, who don't like love stories, thought the book had a great beginning, but it was put it out like a match would be by air. The reason for this would be it doesn't necessarily start as a love story, but that is son changed after Lindsey is introduced. I've never read anything like it, and it was a great book that I defiantly would recommend.
With Colin being a child prodigy, the story sows a great, but cheesy, outline of the teenage mind. it was truly was a great read.
