A WONDERful Read

August is getting ready for school to start at Beecher Prep Middle. August had always ben homeschooled before and know was getting ready to go to the real thing. August was born with many birth deformities. He is scared that people are going to make fun of him. He has always lived his life in the shadows but now it is time for him to really start life.

School is starting up. August goes on the first day and makes some friends. But he also becomes a bully magnet. For the rest of the story the conflict becomes with all of his bullies. But he also makes great friends. His sister is always there for him and defends him. But August also deals with people out of school. But he is breaking out of his shell and not caring what other people think of him.

This book was full of exciting elements. August went along with many hardships. But he dealt wit it. August was loved. That is what was great about this book. On another note I gave Wonder a four out of five. I thought this book deserved that because it had such a great plot. I think I didn't give it five stars because it wasn't great. It was good because it was an interesting. Tis book is not exactly right down my alley.

The end of this book results August making lots of friends. August starts being respected by his classmates. He makes lots of great friends now that Julian is gone. Although all of his social life is going on he has to have another surgery. This last surgery is to make his face look nicer. August is a little hesitant and does it. After August is truly happy. He has friends. And most importantly he is who he wanted to be. Not different, but WONDERful.
