Wonder by R.J Palacio
Wonder is about a young boy, named August, who goes to public school for the first time. He goes through bullies and gullible classmates. He faces what almost every kid has to...the truth. The world isn't perfect...some people just want to watch it burn.
August Pullman is a young boy born with a physical distortion. His parents never thought to send him to public school...until now. Auggie is 10 years old getting ready to go to public school for the first time. He is scared and anxious...he has a good reason to be...buuuuuuuut I'm not going to spoil that for you.
I absolutely loved this book. It was inspiring and empowering. It reminded me that life goes on... No mater what you look like. Auggie's story is truly wonderful. This book is great for anyone of any age.
So, if you enjoy being on the edge of your seat (and tears) on this emotional roller coaster. I encourage you to read this book. Auggie's will make you cry, laugh, and smile. I absolutely, positively loved this book. I'm sure you will too. So, read this book and be glad you got to know August 'Auggie' Pullman.
