Monster by Walter Dean Myers
Monster by Walter dean Myers it is a fiction crime drama. The story takes place in Harlem, mostly in a city lockup. But sometime in the neighborhood were Steve Harmon live. The main character are Steve Harmon, Kathy petrocelli and James King.
In the novel,Steve Harmon, a young 16 year old black boy from Harlem, is charged with murder. This involvement in the crime was that he was participant in the lockout during a robbery, but the New York State law charges all those planned to commit a crime that results in a death with murder. So even though Steve never touched a gun,he can possibly face time in jail.
This monster book is powerful because of the way the author put. The book together. They make the book like a movie script. I recommend this Book for teenager, and adult to go read this monster book. It is important for teenagers, boy or girl, because they are always friends with other people they don't really know They could get in trouble. At first I didn't want to read this book but actually it was a good book. And it teach you who your friends are and who's not.
