The Fault In Ours Stars is told from the perspective of Hazel Grace who is a teen suffering from lung cancer. Hazel goes to support groups for other adolescents with cancer, which takes place in the Literal Heart of Jesus. The meetings aren't too special or eventful until she meets the fresh face of Augustus Waters who is from the get go charming and charismatic.
This book appeals definitely to the teen audience, but is enjoyable for those of all ages. The coming of age love story follows the epic tale of two teens looking for love, and a "normal teenage life." You get the perspective of life and first love from a teenager, but also the perspective of having a terminal illness on top of that. John Greens writing is poetic and just uniquely written and pulls you deeper and deeper into the world of Hazel and Augustus and makes you want to find out what happens. This book will more than likely make you cry, but they are well earned tears.
