“The Fault in Our Stars,” written by John Green is a very well written book.  This is a book that I love.  It shows the importance of the family and friends around you.  John Green emphasizes that family and friends can help you overcome many of the struggles you are facing.  No, Hazel’s cancer doesn’t magically disappear but with her parents support she goes to a support group and she ends up liking it.  If her parents wouldn’t have sent her to the support group she never would have met Gus and she never would have fallen in love.  This book also shows that just because you aren’t necessarily a “normal” person you can still do normal things.  Like going on trips somewhere you’ve never been before.  I believe that everyone should read this book.  I know many people think it’s just some stupid cancer book but it’s more than that.  It says that life is more than what it seems.  Life isn’t a fairytale but it does show that you can still have an enjoyable life even if your sick.  You don’t have to hide yourself from the world just because the doctors say you aren’t like everyone else.  It really emphasizes that you’re not alone in the world and many other people face the same struggles.  There is always someone in the world for you; you just have to look in the right places.  Hazel went to the support group and met a boy named Gus.  If she wouldn’t have went she never would have met him.  If she hadn’t met him she never would have experienced the feeling of falling in love.  It may have not been the perfect ending but Hazel knew that Gus loved her and that was all she needed.  All anybody needs in the world is to be supported and to be loved.  They need to know that they are wanted and that they deserve to exist in this world.  This is why I love this book.
