“Never give up, there is no such thing as the ending. Just the new beginning.”(Hannah Ritter) Homeless bird was written by Gloria Whelan, This story is a realistic story about an Indian girl named Koly, who  try to overcome difficulties in order to have a good live and be happy. I really liked this story.

Koly is the young Indian girl growing up India. She lives with her parents, refers to by the Hindi as “Maa” and “Bapp,” Though her thirteen years old her mother wants her to marry with a guy that she doesn’t know him before his name is Hari. Her parents straggle to find money to provide Koly’s dowry. Maa is talented embroiderer so she creates a beautiful quilt for Koly, which is on the cover picture. After the marriage, Koly moves to live with Hari’s family. She calls Hari’s parents as Sass and Bapp. Koly knows that Sass doesn’t like her because she thinks that Koly is her burden. One day, Sass decides to abandon Koly at the temple. What do you think Koly’s life will be after Sass abandoned her?

The author's comments:

First thing that I like about this story because the main character or Koly tries to struggle for her new life. She’s just only a little girl when she gets married with Hari. So how can she lives  without someone supports her and she also has not much education.

Second I also like the story because the ending is really good. The ending gives good massages to the reader about life. This story reminds me of my own experience. When I was young,  I was learned Chinese in my old school. At that time, I thought Chinese was very hand, so I didn’t care about it. I just wanted to play with my friend in class, but now I regretted that why that time I didn’t study hard. If I studied hard and didn’t give up, I would speak Chinese very well. So I want everybody that reads my review to know that you don’t give up you and then will success one day.

If you like to read the realistic story, don’t wasting your time, go buy this book now!
