The girl from the well is a book that tell a story from a dead girl’s point of view.  A girl who’s a ghost wonders around the world killing murderers of children. She does this because she’s setting the kids free who are chained to the murderers. She finds a boy that interest her because of his tattoos that moves. She watches the boy and finds out there is another ghost inside of him. She helps the boy who she considers her territory since he’s a kid who is chained to someone. She prevents him and his aunt from being killed and helps them to save the boy from being killed by the ghost. It’s about how a ghost who had died from another’s jealousy, not really caring about humans starts to think differently.
It’s a mystery, with a little action, and gives people a new point of view for ghosts and what they do. It is a little action, but more with a calm story throughout the book. It has more of a story that makes you wonder and have sympathy towards the main character. There is a little horror a few here and there in the book. There is a dab of romance, but it does not go into detail. So if you’re looking for romance that makes you want to go “aww” then you’re reading the wrong book.
It mostly revolves around the search of what Terk’s tattoos are and the ghost that always with him. It’s mostly from the view of Okiku and Callie. Although the book would have been better if more of Terk’s point of view was in the book, but it’s still an ok book.
It has a good ending to it that I did not expect. The ending could be a little sad but makes you like Okiku even more.
Overall it was a good book in general. I would recommend getting the book at the library first to see if it’s your kind of book before buying it.
