This story is not only about the fact that the HeLa cells, wich are the cells that have been taken from Henrietta after her painful death, are an incredible discovery, but it also tells that a family has been nearly destroyed and that at that time, no one cared about black people. Indeed, this happened during the tragic period of the segregation. It is full of testimonies of people that Rebecca Skloot interviewed herself.

In general, when we first hear about "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks", we tend to think that this is just another boring story about science but this is not the case. Everyone can learn from this book: students, kids, parents, grand parents, specialists...This book is litteraly made for everyone!

When I started reading, I thought to myself"Ugh! I hat science, I'm probably not going to read the 38 chapters!" Well,  I was wrong because this book ended up being one of my favourite!
