Jon Even was put in a new enclave he has never seen this system before and is trying to settle into it. He can’t seem to escape his secret. Even after two years of this new world he can’t seem to get away from the secret haunting him.
After the meteor hit the moon moving it closer the world was thrown into destruction. Volcanoes exploded tidal waves appeared everywhere hurricanes and tornadoes attacked the earth and earthquakes rocked the world. 
Through the whole book Jon Evens struggles with many things. Like loss, depression, sadness and guilt. He must keep secrets even his secret love for a new girl who doesn’t fit into the new system. His secret love for Sarah the new girl in town has to stay a secret so he can pass his evaluation and stay in his new home but sometimes he doesn’t think it’s worth it.
This book is an amazing creation of a natural disaster and the recovery of it. The author Julie Kagawa did an incredible job at making this series holding and interesting. The series is called this world we live in and the books are all very well written and interesting as well as realistic.
