The house of hades by Rick Riordan
September 2, 2014
The House of Hades
The House of Hades by Rick Riordan is a great book. The book is about 7 teen agers: Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Frank, Hazel, and Leo. In the book, Percy and Annabeth have fallen into the underworld, they then have to meet the rest of the group at the doors of death which allows people and monsters to go from the Underworld to Earth. Not only do they have to get there, but they need to do it before Gaea the earth god takes over the world. If they do get there then they have to fight more gods and kill thousands of monsters there on each side of the doors, then close the doors after Percy and Annabeth get back to Earth. It's a very intriguing storyline that will keep you reading for hours.
I would recommend this book for young adults, and anyone older. This book isn't to challenging to read either. The only real problem with this book is that some people may not like that the book is based on fighting and things like that. Although the book does have some romance, and other genres mixed in too. Overall this book is mostly for everyone.
Another great thing the writer does with this book is make it very emotional. This keeps you interested the whole way through. The book is quite long at 400 pages but it seems short if you read it in long periods at a time. This book is the fourth installment in a five part series and I hope the fifth is just as good as this one. Overall, this book will keep you wanting to read more all the time.
I like this series a lot because there are so many moments you find yourself without hope they'll make it out of whatever situation they're in. Yet they always find a way to prove you wrong. This makes the story very fun to read. Even with the story being a bit predictable at times. All in all, this is a very exciting book. This book, once again is great for just about anyone. I really liked it from beginning to end. I honestly think everyone who reads this book and the whole series will feel the same way. This book is highly recommended by me. In conclusion, this book will go down as one of Rick Riordan's greatest books.
