The Giver isn't just a boring old book, this book is very exciting, it not only has a lot of action, but it takes you on an emotional roller coaster. The main character is Jonas, and he lives in a community where the rules are pretty tight. He was normal until he had to face himself with the  choice of becoming The Giver. I promise this review is worth the read.

Lois Lowery has done it again, action and adventure what more do kids want? This book is perfect for teens, it focuses on their age group, which make them wonder if they can make a difference, just like Jonas. This book has all sorts of adventures which every kid dreams about, and that's why is it so appealing to a young kids perspective.

The author, Lois Lowery, is very sweet but isn't afraid to let everyone speak freely. Especially with Jonas and the Giver. She chose to make them have a strong relationship. And you can tell they do. The Giver does not hold back, he makes sure that Jonas knows about how the community is wrong. The author also makes sure that you believe that this story could really happen in the future. I just wish that there was a little bit of romance, but she is still very open with the story.

The book was about a boy, Jonas and he lives in a future utopia. Where everything is set in stone. Until Jonas gets the job of his life, becoming the Giver, this book takes you on a wild journey and teaches you an important lesson. You can do anything no matter the factors that might be holding you back. Jonas is brave and slowly sees how the Giver sees and starts to dislike the community, he also makes a few friends on the way. So if you want an inspiring, action packed adventurous book, than the Giver is the right book for you.

Once again this book is really good, I loved it. I feel that, yes, at the beginning it is boring, but that is just the build up. I think this book is very open and descriptive and like a mystery, everything just starts to get better and better, the more you read, the more secrets the book reveals. This book is very empowering to the younger readers. This book book has one major life lesson which is "No matter your age or what kind of person you are, you can do anything that you snag in life". And I feel that is the best part of the book!
