The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
The Fault In Our Stars is an amazing novel by John Green. It will make you cry, laugh, and want to read more. As you go through the journey with a sixteen-year-old cancer patient, you will discover many life lessons and heart felt moments. I recommend others to read this, and out of the many reviews I have read, most of them have been about how amazing this novel is.
The authors emotion in this book is fine. I think it could have used more structure in the end. I also think it could have shown more emotion, so you could have really felt what Augustus and Hazel were feeling during all of the events throughout the book. I believe the life lesson in this story is 'Live in the moment', because the future will always remain a mystery. We must cherish the time spent with people in our present.
I think the book is geared towards teenagers, because we are still growing up and trying to make our own decisions. The vocabulary wasn't very difficult. If it was, then there would be a sentence that would give you a clue as to what it means.
The book is about the main character, Hazel Grace Lancaster, as she battles cancer. Not only is Hazel trying to live the normal life of a sixteen-year-old teenager, but also struggling with what it will be like for her parents after she dies. While Hazel attends a church support group for cancer survivors, she meets Augustus Waters, who also has cancer. Augustus and Hazel go through this heat-breaking, yet amazing journey that will change her life forever.
Overall, this book is a heart-breaker for sure. It's also a sweet, romantic book full of sudden warmth and humor. There are many surprises and it is amazingly written. I promise if you read this you will love it.
