The fault in our stars by John green
September 2, 2014
The Fault In Our Stars by John Green is a heart throbbing book about two teenagers (Augustus and Hazel) who have cancer. In my opinion, I think The Fault In Our Stars is an amazing book.
In TFIOS (The Fault In My Stars), I think the author wrote the book towards teenagers to read. The characters in TFIOS are not like your normal teenagers though. I feel as if the book's information is fitted to this age group directed to, but is not considered normal behavior for normal teenagers, which is why Augustus and Hazel are not normal teenagers. My thoughts of the book is that it has great description, but is also difficult for some (Not including myself) to understand.
John Green uses his extraordinary vocabulary to add emotional attachment to his writing style. With the amount of emotion in this book, it makes the reader put him/herself in some of the situations in the book to see how they could relate, or how they would have handled the situation. It keeps the writers attached and wanting more. In TFIOS, Hazel reads An Imperial Affliction, and the character, Anna, refers herself as a side effect. As for Hazel, she refers herself as a grenade. In my opinion, with the amount of emotion and love in this book, the reader wouldn't be able to put it down.
In The Fault In Our Stars, Hazel (A teenage girl who has cancer) meets Augustus at a cancer support group. Hazel and Augustus then get to know each other quite well, and they recommend each other a book. After Augustus reads An Imperial Affliction, he wanted to contact the author of it. After Augustus contacts Peter Van Houten (The author of An Imperial Affliction), Augustus and Hazel fly out to meet him. Then tragedy strikes. Will Peter Van Houten be what Hazel expected? Will there be worse to come? You'll have to read the book to find out.
Overall, The Fault In Our Stars is a great book. There are so many emotions that I have for it. I would definitely recommend the book to someone. In conclusion, I really enjoyed The Fault In Our Stars.
