That Summer by Sarah Dessen
September 2, 2014
How would you feel if your whole life completely changed in one summer? This book is called That Summer by Sarah Dessen. This book is romantic, dramatic, and chaotic because there are break ups and new boyfriends and girlfriends, it's dramatic because many secrets are revealed, and it's chaotic because so many things change in an instant, one thing after another. I recommend this book to mostly teen girls. This is one of my favorite books, which is saying a lot because I hate reading!
This book is mostly geared towards teenage girls. The vocabulary was pretty easy throughout the book except for a couple of words. There is definitely a lot of romance, drama, and chaos throughout the whole book, which is why I think this book is for teen girls. I wouldn't recommend this book to boys or young children because some things in the book aren't appropriate. Overall this book was great because I love a lot of drama, chaos, and romance!
The authors emotion in this book was definitely effective! Her emotion made this book absolutely fantastic! The drama and chaos definitely drew me into this book the romance also had me wanting to read this book. Sarah is a great author with great passion and emotion
This book is about a 15 year old girl named Haven. Haven is very self-conscious about her awkward, tall, and scrawny body. Her life completely shifts and changes in one summer. She feels trapped, like she is in a nightmare that she can't wake up from! Some of the characters in this book are Haven, Ashley, Lewis, Sumner, Lydia Catrell, Casey, Lorna, Haven and Ashley's dad, and Haven and Ashley's mom, the book mostly takes place at the mall and Havens house.
This book was amazing! I loved this book so much! Sarah dessen is by far my favorite author. She had sad, happy, and angry emotions. There are mostly angry emotions and confusion throughout this story. This romantic, dramatic, and chaotic story is really well written and I hope that other teen girls enjoy this book as much as I did!
