Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
Suzanne Collins did well on The Hunger Games, but I think Mockingjay is, by far, the best. Mockingjay is a jam packed book that keeps you at the edge of your seat. If you like love stories, Mockingjay is a good start. It's not entirely about love, but it has a sprinkle of love. If you like fighting and revenge, Katniss does plenty in this book.
Mockingjay, I think, is for kids twelve and older. If Mockingjay didn't have that much fighting and romance, then you could drop the age a bit. The vocabulary and situations are intense. I don't think that there is any cussing in this book by the way.
Suzanne made this book in a sad kind of happy way. In some parts she makes Katniss happy, then sad. It's a mixed emotion setting.
Speaking of setting, it's great in Mockingjay. It starts out in summer with Katniss in District Twelve. It's always hot, never cold. Gale loves Katniss, but he tries so hard to hide it. It's hard to hide love.
Mockingjay is my all time favorite action book. You better buckle your seatbelt, cause this riders going to get crazy. When you get to sad love parts, just go ahead and grab the tissues.
