Elijah hager period 8 Divergent review "A brave man acknowledges the strength of others." That is a famous quote from Veronica Roth's good reads choice award winning book Divergent. Beatrice Prier, Tris, has an ability that she doesn't know about. But when she finishes the Aptitude test she has to make a decision that will change her life forever. In a futuristic Chicago the human society is divided into 5 groups called factions. They are Dauntless, Erudite, Amity, Abnegation, and Candor. After the aptitude test Tris chooses dauntless to cover up a secret. But when the leader of the Erudite tries to take over Chicago Tris, Tobias, and others just like them must band together and save Chicago. Divergent is a book for all ages. It is a great book but it will take time to truly understand it. It is a great book because it includes reading styles for everyone. It includes romance, action, suspense, and adventure. The author is trying to teach us a few lessons in this book. The first lesson is to think of others be for u think of yourself. It's second lesson is don't be selfish all the time but it is also okay to not be selfless all the time. The last lesson is you can do anything if you believe you can. Because if u don't believe you can achieve success you will never get anywhere in you life. In my opinion this was a great book. The story line will keep you turning pages until the end. Once you read the first book you will want to read the second and third book. Veronica Roth put something in there for everyone to enjoy. You will enjoy read the best book in the century.
