Get up and chase your dreams.

" You are missing some serious apple crumble right now." Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen  is a book with a great message! The book is about a high school graduates last summer before college. Her name is Auden, and her main problems are involving her parents. Until she decides to spend the summer with her dad, step-mom, and their new baby at the beach. I recommend this book not only to people who like romance, but also a great message or relatable story.

The book targets middle school girl students. The story's contents are appropriate for this age group. Words and plot of the story aren't very hard for a reader to understand, but they still aren't to easy. The book is a very good book for girls at this age. Girls who enjoy a more challenging plot during the story might not enjoy it as much.

The contents of the story were pretty well put together, and understandable. There aren't many twists and surprises. I think the characters are believable and realistic. The characters are very relatable. The book comes to a satisfying conclusion. The lesson you learn from this book is great.

The writer uses a reserved voice because the character who's telling the story isn't very emotional. The emotion isn't lacking, but still isn't greatly emotional either. That effects the book with a big impact. Auden the main character in the book's way of speaking is still easy to understand. The language of the book is good for the level of reading.

All in all I really do recommend this book. It's great for girls my age. I love the message it sends. The storyline, and characters are great. Put it on your reading list!

I wrote this because I was told to by my teacher for a summer reading assignment. I then  had to write a review.
