Divergent is a best selling book by Veronica Roth. Divergent is similar to, "the hunger games" by Suzan Collins. It consists of action, war, rebellion, and romance. Divergent is good for young to middle aged adults. A famous quote from divergent is, "fear doesn't shut you down, it wakes you up."

Divergent is about a 16 year old girl named Beatrice. She has tests done to give a suggestion of what to do with her life.  The tests scores are inconclusive, and she is what's called divergent.  The Erudite and Dauntless people are killing the divergent people. As Beatrice goes along her way she makes new friends and looses people that she loves.  She also has a relationship with a man named four.  The situation was more serious than anyone thought it would be.

Veronica Roth has a very emotional, yet basic writing style.  She is a talented writer and hooks the reader quite often. The first two divergent books are great but Allegiant sucks. Allegiant had very basic literature and is at a slow pace.

Like I said earlier, divergent is for young to middle aged adults.  This book is not a very bad read compared to some.  The plot of the story changes through out the story, and so does the conflict.  Divergent is basically good verses evil.

Overall divergent was a decent book.  This book is good for people who liked, "the hunger games."  I however have read better book than this one. I think this book is worth reading in the long run. I hope you enjoy divergent.
