Have you ever wanted to read a book so descriptive you could almost hear it?  If so, then this is the book for you.  In the book the main character is David, he and his wife Stefanie and son Billy live in western Maine.  A huge storm blows over causing a lot of destruction,  but this was no ordinary storm.  An eerie and strange fog bank was left behind, along with the storm this fog wasn't ordinary.  Many strange and devastating events start to occur.  David, Billy, and many other local residents were forced to stay in a supermarket for quite some time.  I thoroughly enjoyed this book, currently I am reading another of Steven King's books.  I hope this on will be as great as The Mist was.

I think the age level of this book is probably for young adults.  I feel this way because, some of the parts and vocabulary are a little complex and harder to comprehend.  Also there is some violence and crude language, but in sure people my age who watch the majority of the TV shows today, can tolerate this novel.  the information given is very clear and descriptive.  King's word choice was vibrant, but sinister at the same time.

The content of this book was very well put together and played out nicely.  there were many surprises and plot twists that kept me turning the pages.  No matter what King was describing whether a character, place, or feeling; it was down to the last minute detail.  I felt all the characters were believable.  Although the ending was vague, it kept me asking for more.  this is a trait of Steven King's that I enjoy.

Steven King has a very emotional and dramatic voice.  This book had many struggles and emotional parts, his emotional writing made the book and amazing read.  Lack of emotion can make a book dry and boring, but this book was everything but that.  Some of the language that was used that made the book great was how he would describe the characters, and conflicts.  He would describe their physical traits in great depth, with deep words.

Overall I really enjoyed this book.  I felt Steven King did an excellent job, and is a fantastic author in all.  I highly recommend this book, I would read it again myself.  I am looking forward to reading more of Steven King's creations.
