"I'm a grenade and at some point I'm going to blow up and I would like to minimize the casualties, okay?" This is a quote from Hazel Grace Lancaster. She is a 16 year old stage 5 terminal cancer patient who has already come to terms with the fact that she is most likely going to die young from her cancer. Since she knows that, her parents took her out of high school. Now she stays at home, read An Imperial Affliction, which is her favorite book, and attends a nearby community college when she wants to. Her mother also started sending her to what Hazel thinks is a hideous support group. It doesn't seem to be that hideous because there she meets Augustus Waters who is described in the book as a very tall, attractive, smart young man with mahogany colored hair. From then on out, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten. I recommend this book to middle schoolers and up. It is a real page turner. 

The content of the book is very well organized. If you have a weak vocabulary the. You might not understand the conversations between Augustus and Hazel. There are lots of twists and surprises to keep the reader interested throughout out the book. As a teenager the characters are believable. Even though they are believable, I can't relate to the characters that well. The book doesn't come to a bad ending nor a good ending. The lesson is we shouldn't view death as a terrible thing. 

The voice of the book is very easy to tell. It's emotional. It gives you a feeling about how the characters feel. You feel like you are a character or your in the story. The language of the book describes how the characters feel. 

The age of the audience is also very easy to tell. They are trying to target teenagers. The information does fit the age group very well. The book's plot and vocabulary aren't to difficult nor are they to easy. The plot is very well organized and the vocabulary is a little more complex but they aren't to hard to understand. 

Again, "The Fault In Our Stars" is an amazing book. I recommend this book for middle schoolers and up. This is one of my favorite books. I didn't want to put it down. "The Fault In Our  Stars" is an outstanding book.
