After reading Insurgent by Veronica Roth I was amazed at how badly I wanted to pick up the next book Allegiant and dive into that story as well. The genre of this book is suspense, thriller, or adventure. I loved this book it was the best book I have ever read! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes a thriller or adventure type of books.

Insurgent is the second book in the Divergent trilogy. The main character Tris is what they call divergent. That means she is unable to be controlled and unable to undergo simulation. Which is a really dangerous thing and she is not aloud to tell anyone that she’s divergent, they could kill her. In the first book Divergent, Erudite from the five factions Erudite, Dauntless, Amity, Abnegation, and Candor attack the city using simulations on the brave or warrior faction Dauntless.Which is Tris’s faction and they are an army without knowing it. But since Tris is divergent she doesn’t respond to the simulation and is awake along with Four another main character and many other people. Tris and her boyfriend Four shut down the simulation and get out of the main part of the city. Then, in Insurgent Some people from all factions who feel it’s right plan to ally with the factionless, and plan on taking over the city. They also want to take power from Jeannie Matthews (the leader of Erudite the faction that attacked the city).

I think this book was a great book! It was so good I could not stop reading it. The thrill and the adventure of this book was amazing. I also think that the imagery was perfect! I would recommend this book to anyone who has read the first in the trilogy Divergent but I would also encourage anyone to read all of the books in the trilogy they are a thrilling read!
