I read the book Insurgent by Veronica Roth, this book is science fiction book for young adults. This book was a very enjoyable book because it was very unpredictable and the events that took place in this book were an unusual way of thinking by Veronica Roth.

This book was about Tris, the main character, wanting to get back at Jeanine, Erudite’s leader, for putting the Dauntless soldiers under a simulation to kill off abnegation citizens, the governmental branch. She wanted to do that so that her and her faction could have control over the government because they thought it would make everyone’s life better. In that process, Tris’s parents and hundreds of other abnegation people were killed. Insurgent is a book that explains the journey Tris and her friends go through to get to Jeanine. Veronica did a magnificent job on explaining all the events/obstacles to keep you interested in the book, and it sure did work on me.

I would recommend this book to any young adult/tennager just like it says in the genre’s name. Veronica did grand on how she takes boring thoughts of a character and takes them really deep and explains them in a way that you would never think of in 1 million years! You can paint pictures in your head while reading the book because of its word choice. I took away that you should never let anyone or anything get in your way of getting to your goal. I also took away that sometimes you have think of other peoples situations and sometimes you have to take care of your situations, and you always have to try and make the right decision. This book was really a “can’t stop reading” kind of book.
