Point Blank:



After reading Point Blank by Anthony Horowitz. I was left with a lot of thought and emotion based upon what happened during the gist of the book. I had no complaints whatsoever, and I was frankly shocked at how well the author added twists and other things to think about throughout this mystery/story. I would recommend this book to anyone into suspense, and to anyone looking to enjoy a quick easy read.


This book is about a young detective boy named Alex Rider. Alex lost both of his parents when he was young and he doesn’t really have anyone to care for. Alex is a 14 year old with an intelligent mind, and will honestly do anything just to grab attention. This story is based upon one specific event; The death of a very wealthy businessman. We know exactly what happened to the man and how the person who was responsible achieved his death, but we aren’t quite sure on whom/who actually killed him. Alex Rider is then put to test with his great detective skills, and sent to a mansion owned by a person who agreed to pretend that Alex was his Dreadful son. Alex is then sent to a School for the “Naughty” only then to find out that he has bigger problems on his hand…

This book was very well written with very little flaws. The author included may intriguing lines and also added a lot of descriptive dialogue. If you think you’ve solved the mystery after the first page, you’re almost 99.9 percent wrong. The author added so many twist and turns, that even I (A mystery genre reader) couldn’t even keep up with the significant events. Just very unpredictable.

Its a story that anyone can read (That is if you know how to read) and I’d highly recommend reading it to anyone that has a little spare time in the Pre-Game lobby of their computer game (Clique).
