Cinder by Marissa Meyer is an thrilling fiction with lots of action scenes and adventurous characters, it also has a particular sense of romance. This book will having you sitting on the edge of your seat and is always a great page turner. I felt like I was really involved in the book even though I was a million miles away and I also felt like the novel could always be a great entertainer.


In Cinder a young, fourteen year old girl is living in a disease ridden New Beijing with her adoptive family. Cinder, thought to be a rebellious young teen, is living in a ridiculed life with metal foot and hand, while having a robotic nervous system. With only her adoptive sister Peony and her faithful robot friend Iko accepting her in the world she lives pretty far in the shadows until one day when Peony catches this horrific disease. As conflict arises Cinder travels through many lies and many friends in hopes that she can find the truth and not harm anyone while in these traumatic events. As the story progresses though, she seem to fall in love with the vigorously handsome prince of New Beijing, Prince Kai, and ends up lying to him too. Cinder’s hard times seem to be much trouble, but as all stories go something must happen.

This entertaining book is full of emotion and strong feelings. Every emotion you can feel as if it were your own.Also if the cute story of Cinderella being twisted and turned isn’t enough to pull your attention maybe the common conflict between the world and Cinder can quench your thirst for strong literature. In conclusion I think Marissa did a fabulous job on this book and I would recommend it for anyone with a thirst for adventure.
