The Hunger Games
Just another regular day waking up in district 5 then katniss realizes that it is the reaping.Reaping is probably the biggest day of the year for the 12 districts.A boy and a girl get chosen to go into the Hunger Games. The book takes place far into the future when North America is in rubble. The 12 districts separate the people from one another so that they can run the Hunger Games. The book is pretty much about a teen girl who saves her sister’s life from the Games.
The main characters are Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. They pretty much don’t know each other at the beginning of the book, but after a while they become really close friends. The bad guys also named the Capitol has made the hunger games and they control it from the inside. The Capitol doesn’t have a problem about the 24 tributes killing each other and only “1” tribute can win. What happens is that katniss’s sister gets chosen to go into the hunger games, then katniss volunteer as tribute.
Katniss met a lot of new people in the games but one of her best friend was Rue.The author Suzanne Collins made 2 other books to this series. The other books are just as good as this one. This is a really good book.It will make you want to read more and more of it until you finish it.There are never any parts that are just plain boring. There is never a part in this book where nothing is happening.
There are a lot of things happening in this book. But overall, it is really good, and if you like a book that has action then this is your book. There are a couple of sad parts in this book that will make you feel pretty sad, but overall I think that the author Suzanne Collins did a really nice job writing this book, and the others books to this series .

The author's comments:
